functional stoneware

The majority of my pottery is wheel thrown stoneware which is functional in character. The decoration utilizes scarfitto technique through a colored slip bank maintaining a simplicity of design to enhance the form of the pot. The pot is then glazed and fired to cone 10 in reduction atmosphere or salt glaze. This is a firing technique which utilizes sodium vapor to glaze the work.
