It is a funny thing to call yourself an artist. I don't think I am an artist in the normal view of what an artist is. I make art in spurts, and in ways that are not often able to be hung on walls. I see my home, my life, my garden, and my desk (even with all the piles on it and near it) as a collage, one that is always in process and hiding surprises for me. I really think that each and everyone of us is an artist, that somehow art-making is indigenous to humans, whether we all know it or not, whether we all do it or not.
